SIMPLIFYING CALIFORNIA TITLE 24
Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR) outlines several mandated requirements for reducing energy consumption and mitigating waste in new and existing homes and buildings. The code was initially enacted in 1978 by the California Building Standards Commission as a means of legislating energy consumption. The code is enforced by the Office of Compliance Assistance and Enforcement.
Architects in Alameda County must be well-versed in a wide range of requirements and guidelines for any newly launched construction, existing design, or retrofit and renovation.
Whenever California architects, designers, and engineers work with fiberglass shower manufacturers, they must be cognizant of which products are California Title 24 compliant. Unfortunately, it is both time-consuming and labor-intensive to research materials and parts to ensure they meet stringent CA Title 24 requirements for a California bathroom design project.
